“NoteBook” inspired 1940’s Hair Tutorial

As requested by ahanhbarbie, I am portraying one of the many gorgeous looks from “The notebook”, a 1940’s hairstyle. It’s very youthful and fun, and can actually be worn so many ways!

It’s been so long… but I actually think I just used a curling iron! haha, probably day old curls at that :) I think pin curls are better for this style though!!

  12. LadySaundra says:

Was this your usual pin curls? I’m trying to figure out how you curled your hair before styling.. :)

  13. StrawberryKoiVintage says:

I bought this from a vintage store, it is a 1940’s junior dress :) Try visiting a vintage store in your area, or better yet, the vintage clothing section on ebay or Etsy :)

  14. allieskater818 says:

Thank you so much!!! I think with a lot of effort + hairspray, you could do it as long as your bangs aren’t too think… doesn’t that stick about bangs? I love having short bangs, but I miss doing hairstyles like this…. and visa versa when my bangs are long :(

  20. BettieDied says:

Oh wow, Ive been trying to find this hairstyle and thanks to a genius like you put one up! :D Thank you so much but…
will this hairstyle work if your bangs are cut like Bettie Page? I love the curls in the ponytails, they make you look adorable :)

  21. PaleMagnolia says:

The finger wave tutorial someone requested you is a lovely idea, too, if you find some time to do it!
